Measuring greenhouse gases with a SmartComb
In the last weeks one of our SmartCombs was onboard the DLR (= German space Agency) airplane HALO on several flights in the framework of the CoMet mission. In this project the DLR wants to map the CO2 and Methane emissions using a LIDAR Laser. The SmartComb serves as a frequency reference and did a beautiful job – thanks to the hard work of the SmartComb team during the past months and years. It stayed locked in all phases of the flight, even during take-off and landing. So we can really say that this is a massive step forward for hands of operation of our devices in field-type operation.
